NEW TESTING SITES ADDED!

Interpreters for the Spanish language who have already passed the written portion of the National Board of Certification for Medical Interpreters’ test may continue to register and schedule the Spanish oral exam. (If you have passed the written exam and interpret for a language other than Spanish, you will be put in a database and informed when the oral exam in your language is available. Mandarin, Cantonese, Korean, Vietnamese and Russian are coming soon!)

 

Candidates for the oral exam for interpreters for the Spanish language will be pre-registered with Iso-Quality Testing (IQT) and will receive an email from them with specific instructions. Candidates will then be able to go on the IQT web site, www.iqttesting.com and register, pay and schedule their exam electronically.
 
Once you receive the email from IQT you may you will see a select number of locations and dates have been set aside for candidates to schedule their tests.  When a candidate selects a testing site, the available dates and times will be displayed. If no date appears, call IQT at the number provided on the instructions.

Additional testing sites will be added and as they become available, they will be posted on the National Board web site at www.certifiedmedicalinterpreters.org

 

Do not worry about the previous timeline, the time limit to take the oral exam after passing the written will be extended.
